“I can’t believe this is real.” Enter The Void (2009).
London based British Indian photographer Rehmat Rayatt is fascinated with the human experience. She believes that everyone has a story, and captures the profound experience of life in her reflective portraits.
Explorative photographer Attar Sagoo thrives on portraying the ordinary as extraordinary. He focuses on romanticising everyday environments through the manipulation of light and colour, appreciating moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Fuelled by their passion for new experience, their friendship was established with their mutual love for Japan. issho-ni or Together is a homage to these first exchanges.
In this project spanning a year, the two merge together an image each every month; Attar’s landscape and Rehmat’s portrait. In doing so, they create an alternate perception; a fantasy world.
Their aim is to improve their skills in their chosen discipline, pushing themselves as photographers, as observers of the world and as creators of a new world.
